MARY
SIMPSON PASSES AWAY THIS MORNING
(November
6, 1946)
Mrs. Mary (Lawrence) Simpson, esteemed resident of Sycamore,
Illinois, for the past nine years, passed away early this morning, at the
Sycamore Hospital. Mrs. Simpson had been in ill health for two years but her
death was hastened by a fall received last Thursday while entering an
automobile.
She was
born February 2, 1865, at Syracuse, New York, daughter of
William and Ann (Kitely) Lawrence. On July 21, 1882, she was united
in marriage
to William Simpson, who preceded her in death July 8, 1920.
She has
made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Charles Nelson, for the
past nine
years. Those left to mourn her passing are five children,
Frank
Simpson of Rockford, Illinois, Mrs. Julia (George) Fredrick and
Mrs. Ella
(Charles) Nelson of Sycamore, Illinois, Mrs. Estella McAllister
of
Sterling, Illinois, and Mrs. Amy (Harold) Sandstrom of Batavia, Illinois.
She also
leaves seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Kebil's Funeral Home on Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. H.L. Michael will officiate. Friends may call at
the funeral home up until the time of the service. Burial will be at Elmwood
Cemetery, Sycamore, Illinois.
