Mrs. Goldie A. Schumaker
Mrs. Goldie A. Schumaker, 86, of 20 N. Kidder Street, Plano, died Tuesday at
Sandwich Community Hospital. Mrs. Schumaker was born January 23, 1885, in Northville,
daughter of John and Sarah (ed: Carr) Culmer.
In 1902 she married Frank. A. Schumaker, who precede her in death. She was a
member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints.
Surviving are two daughters, Velma L. Curtis, of Plano, which whom she made her
home, and Gladys V. Bennet, of San Jose, Calif.; five brothers; four sisters (ed: this is not
correct - her brothers and sisters all died before her); seven grandchildren, and 14
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five children, Grace D. Kimpson (ed: Kimpan),
Blanche M. Hermes, Clair F. Schumaker, Ira M. Schumaker and June F. Schumaker.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Burkhart Funeral Home,
Elder Everett Parcell and John Wahlgren officiating. Burial was in the Fowler Grove
Cemetery. Pall bearers were Clyde French, Russell Cooper, Ron Vermeland, Elmer
Schumaker
